The founder of Oldham Tots 2 Teens, nursery and preschool, United Kingdom, Ms Yetunde Monsoorah Oduga said being passionate about what you do could unlock several untapped opportunities.
Oduga, a mother of four in a chat with Gtechnews via Zoom explained that hard work, dedication and dependence on God are quick recipe for successful and fulfilled life.
With a twelve year experience in the healthcare sector, she disclosed that her success story is because she leveraged on the rigid routine of the child minding section of the UK and that became a turning point for her.
Oduga, a Muslim faithful said that hard work and dedication never kill but jolts the sleeping giant in every man.

What is the rationale behind your business name?
The business name was an environmental decision because I opened my first outlet in Oldham Town in Manchester, UK. We are located at 54 Higher Lime Road Oldham Greater Manchester OL8 3NL.
I am registered at the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills (OFSTED). What this mean is that I am registered as a founder of a nursery and preschool called Oldham Tots 2 Teens.
Ofsted inspect services providing education and skills for learners of all ages. Ofstes also regulates services that care for children and young people.
How it began?
I worked for 12 years in the healthcare sector specifically in geriatrics or elderly care for the National Health Service (NHS), UK and ventured into childcare as a specialist when I recognized the need for more flexible childcare. While at the NHS, I struggled to find childminder with unsocial hours, this propelled me to get trained and registered to bridge that gap.
Challenges
Every profession has its challenge and this is not different. The basic requirement is to do the job uniquely well. There are very strict guidelines of child care in the UK and as such the professional child minder must be on top of his game. Above all, people should pray hard, follow the rules, put passion into the job and trust God for the best outcome.
Motivation
My major motivation is the flexibility as well as the beautiful smiles I get from my mindees every day. If a child refuses to go home at night because they love setting of the environment, then I have achieved a lot that day.
I also do my utmost best to make life easier for people around me regardless of gender, age, colour or background.
Posterity
I want to be remembered for impacting a child positively and giving the parents a chance to succeed at their career because they are very confident that their precious gems are in safe hands.
Advice
My main advice for professional colleagues would be to continue to evolve. This role is dynamic and evolving, so be abreast of training and development as well as new legislation to improve the outcome for your attendees.
