The Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Godwin Emefiele said Point Of Sales (POS) vendors charging above 200 naira for cash withdrawals would be arrested.
Emiefiele said this during a press briefing addressing the difficulties the new Naira policy has made.

He disclosed that
the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, and Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission, ICPC have been instructed to nail POS agents charging fees above 200 Naira, saying, “We have told EFCC, the ICPC to arrest any POS agent that charges any fee, because we have made it clear that whatever is their fee which is not meant to be more than 200 Naira for any amount you exchange.
On the part of the bank , we will pay as part of the cost to lessen the burden of this problem. We will prosecute them and they will go to jail for getting involved in illegal activities and making our work difficult”.
