Most times you wonder why people especially good ones have to die. Of course, aside the Holy Book stating the obvious that you are made from dust and to dust you would return.
One may also analyse that if people don’t die,the world would become over populated and that could cause chaos. The old people leaves the centre stage and the young replaces them.
If the truth be told, no one wants their loved ones to leave the stage not now, not ever.
Friday, the 25th of August 2023, I lost my mother again to the cold hands of death at the Fleury Hospital, Montreal, Canada.
She loved me and transited the moment I held her hands but not before she game me the tactile communication.
The day before, precisely on Thursday morning, after staying for some hours and I begged to leave, she raised her head as if to ask if its goodbye or goodnight even with great difficulty to give me the sweetest smile that I would always cherish.
On Wednesday evening, I had received a sad news from my sister and her biological daughter Holly that Mom fell from the bed and was rushed to the hospital.
She ensured that her children became family as well. Such is the love that is exhibited in the McGregor family.
From Ontario, US to the Uk where the McGregor have roots and friends almost everyone knows that she has a friend and daughter in Ola.
The kind of maternal love that I lost when my mother died some years back returned to me in the form of Mrs Jacqueline Rice Mcgregor. A beautiful soul inside out.
Our paths crossed through an acquitance of mine, Mrs.Victoria Morenike Fashola in 2019 and thereafter the bond could not be broken.
Mom,as I fondly call her is a woman of style, simplicity, intelligence, artistic,classy and above all her heart is full of love.
Mom came,saw and conquered.
She was one person who cared less about the colour of your skin. Rather she demonstrated true love at all times.
A great cook,
A lover of arts,
A lover of animal channel,Detective Hudson and Rex series.
Unfortunately, when death came calling, she answered gallantly. Though it’s quite sad that she had to leave the stage yesterday but there is a consolation that we would meet on the resurrection morning.
