COVID-19: NAWOJ Task Women To Seek Divine Help On April 6
The umbrella body for professional women writers/presenters, Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), has urged everyone especially women to seek divine intervention as a matter of necessity on Monday, April 6.
This is coming on the heels of the increasing cases of coronavirus in the country, despite concerted efforts to stem the spread.
The statement signed by the National Secretary, Mrs Ladi Bala said, “As a people who believe strongly in the power of the almighty God, we must embark on one day fast :Monday 6th April 2020 to pray for God’s healing powers upon the sick and an end to the spread of Covid 19, while Government and other stakeholders continue to do the needful.”
According to NAWOJ National Secretariat, the fast is necessary to combat coronavirus for a healthy Nigeria where all citizens irrespective of religious or ethnic inclinations live healthier and productive lives for a prosperous nation. While believing that turning to God by all and sundry in sincerity ,the Covid 19 cloud would disperse sooner than expected.
