Aisha Buhari Graduates 2,200 women
…Trains 500 youths in Kano

Wife of the President, Mrs Aisha Buhari has graduated 2,200 women who acquired skills in Kano,via her pet project; Future Assured.
In a statement signed by Director of Information to Wife of the President, Suleiman Haruna, noted that a second batch of beneficiaries also received training in the areas of paint making, leather works, barbing, as well as rabbitry and catfish farming.
At the opening ceremony, Mrs. Buhari’s address was delivered by Mrs. Ramatu Mukhtar Rabiu, Coordinator of the Future Assured Programme in Kano state.
She enjoined beneficiaries to use the skills acquired in building sustainable businesses to pull themselves out of poverty and help other youths.
Some of the beneficiaries expressed appreciation to Mrs. Buhari for giving them the opportunity to chart an economic course for their lives by providing them with useful and sustainable skills.
The training conducted for male youth beneficiaries, according to Haruna is consistent with the target of Mrs. Buhari’s programme, Future Assured, which are women, youth and children.
“A breakdown of the skills trained indicate that barbing, rabbitry and catfish farming received 100 beneficiaries each, leatherworks received 50, while paint-making received the highest beneficiaries with 150.
“The weeklong training commenced on October 31st and was concluded on the 3rd of November, 2017”.
