Itel Eyes Over $4bn Global Turnover By 2019

With a desire to recoup over four billion dollar in the next two years, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM),Itel said the feat is doable, going by its antecedent of investments and profits.
This was disclosed in Lagos at the weekend by the mobile phone manufacturer during its 10th year Anniversary, which coincided with the unveiling of two smartphones: S32 and S12.
According to the President of Itel Business, Mr David Lei, Itel has 50 sales countries but Nigeria is its largest market.
He informed his audience that Itel’s goal for 2020 is to achieve 100 million annual sales volume. Adding that Itel has sold over 1. 2 million smartphones and over 250,000 units sold per day globally.
“We have over 5,000 partners and 200,000 retail shops. And we expect our staff strength to increase to over 3,000 in Nigeria”.
The event which was tagged: ‘Power of Change’,had several dealers in attendance, while the OEM explained that there was no better way to make impact than through communication, that was why it was not relenting on its oars to achieve more despite the unconducive business environment.

With such belief in mind, Itel is continually making efforts to get close to customers and understand their needs and expectations in various ways, so as to continue to meet their expectations”.
Also speaking on the functionality of the latest addition, Regional Sales Manager, Mr Williams said selfie has become “One of the global craze” and Itel knows the importance social media enthusiasts attached to selfie and therefore infused low light , solo and group selfie.
He further stated that S32 is in two different categories, one with the LTE goes for $118, ordinary S32 $90 and S12 goes for $72.
The company’s engineer, Temitope Falana added that the S32 comes in black, grey and sky blue colours with a 5.5 inch IPS screen, which is a laminated technology that integrates protective glass(Blu ray eye protection). Adding that the two cameras are placed side by side.
