Growsel, an agtech startup in Nigeria said the acquisition of Zowasel, an online market place would further strengthen its technological innovations.

The company further stated that it would reduce hunger and poverty.
According to Growsel, the business model of the newly acquired online market place known for discounts and deals would be changed to fit into Growsel’s technological revolution in the agricultural sector.
The Chief Executive Officer, Growsel, Jerry Oche said “At Growsel, we provide innovative technological solutions in the nation’s agricultural sector with the aim of reducing hunger and extreme poverty, acquisition of Zowasel is another giant step towards achieving that goal. Adding that it Intends to change the business model of the newly acquired Zowasel to become a farmers’ market place where buyers can meet with farmers to buy their crops from anywhere in the country. This will solve the problem of farm produce wastage.

“With the new farmers’ market place, farmers anywhere in the country can now meet buyers on the platform, they can rest assured that their crops will not perish in the farm and they won’t have to sell below the market price”.
Also speaking on the new development Head, Online and Offline sales Zowasel, Oyewale Oketunji said loyal customers should expect more experience with the new farmers’ market place that is coming up”.
Head, Business, Growsel, Uche Onyebuchi expressed optimism about Growsel’s presence throughout the agricultural value chain.
